An X3 roll cage is the one part of the build that has to be right, and it is the part LSK's race program was built around. Our Maverick X3 cage kits come in flat and radius styles for both the 2-seat X3 and the 4-seat X3 Max, CNC-profiled from DOM steel tubing and pre-bent so every joint lands tight with the car itself as the jig — no fixture, no guesswork, MIG or TIG in your own shop. If you would rather skip the welding, the 2-seat radius cage is also available fully welded. Every kit integrates with our aluminum roofs, intrusion bars, windshield frames, and spare tire carriers, so the cage is the start of the build instead of a dead end. Designed, cut, and bent in Fontana, California, on the same geometry our race X3s run.
Radius cages sweep the roof line back for a lower, race-car profile; flat cages keep a level roof line with maximum interior headroom. Structurally both are the same CNC-cut DOM tubing — it comes down to look and headroom. Matching LSK roofs exist for both styles.
Yes — the 2-seat radius cage is available fully welded, in addition to the standard weld-it-yourself kits. Welded cages ship freight or can be picked up in Fontana, CA. The 4-seat X3 Max kits ship weld-it-yourself; contact us about welded options.
The X3 Max has its own dedicated 4-seat cage kits in flat and radius styles — not a stretched 2-seat design. Each product page lists exact fitment, and matching 4-seat roofs and windshield frames are built around the same structure.
If you can MIG or TIG weld, the kit is designed for you: every tube arrives CNC-cut, pre-bent, and notched, and the X3 chassis acts as the jig. Mock the tubes up on the car, tack, check, and weld it out — no fixture table required.
