Why a front bumper on a Polaris RZR XP1000
The factory front end is plastic and thin bracketry, and it is the first thing a rock, a whoop, or another machine finds. This one is a bolt-on replacement, so the upgrade is a wrench job rather than a fab job.
Mounting lights on it
The catalog states this bumper takes 2 light pods. A UTV or prerunner front end is the right place for auxiliary lighting — high enough to throw down the trail, low enough to stay out of the mirrors — and mounting to the bumper keeps the load off the plastics.
