What this Tacoma long travel kit does

This kit takes a 2005+ Tacoma from stock suspension to a legitimate desert front end: custom upper and lower control arms, fully fabricated spindles, extended heimed tie rods, coilover adapters, UCA gussets, and weld-on cam lockouts. It averages 14.5 inches of usable wheel travel (depending on limit strap, bump stop, and shock setup), widens the track 4.5 inches per side, and moves the wheelbase 1.25 inches forward — built for trucks that see mostly street miles with real off-road weekends.

Stance, tires, and wheels

Designed around a 35-inch tire on a 17x9 wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing (0mm offset). The wider stance is what makes a long travel Tacoma stable at speed in the rough — and what gives it the look. Plan on fender work for full-compression clearance, as with any wide kit.

What you'll still need

Long-travel-length coilovers — stock-length shocks cannot use the added stroke. We spec King packages valved for this kit and your truck. Kits ship raw and unassembled, so plan finish work, assembly, welding for the cam lockouts and adapters, and an alignment after install.
